Aicon
3D Systems has developed Move Inspect, that enables the dynamic measurement
of objects
In developing products within a short pe-riod of time and manufacturing them
at low costs, the inspection of parts with respect to their motion and
deformation behaviour plays a decisive role. In fact, many industries today
perform dynamic object measurement as an important element of product
development and testing.
The
Move Inspect from Aicon 3D Systems enables dynamic measurement of objects.
Move Inspect captures dynamic processes 3D and analyses them regarding
geometric changes. For this application, the manufacturer of optical 3D
measuring systems has developed a special camera bar that is equipped with
digital cameras and offered in different versions. For
each measuring epoch, the software determines for example the 3D coordinates
of object points, the six depth of field-coordinates of solid bodies, and
the speed of the points or solid bodies. Two modes are available to analyse
the measurement: The Offline-Mode (that is later) and the Online-Mode (that
is during the measurement in real time). The integrated magnifier function
allows for the visualisation of the slightest movement. This is also
possible in case of highly frequent processes with long observation times,
and when the data volume is very high. The results of the dynamic
measurements are displayed in a clear and descriptive manner. They may also
be exported to external analysis software such as DiaDem. Move Inspect can
be synchronised with other systems using standard interfaces. Thus, it also
supports the control of dynamic processes. Application areas of Move Inspect
include deformation analysis where defect analysis in the production line
(e.g. during welding), behavior of components in wind tunnel and climate
chamber, analysis of collision damage and material testing are performed.
Application
areas also include motion and position analysis where analysis of wheel
motions, tracking of engine motions, door slam testing, analysis of the
closure process for hoods, convertible tops and windows, testing of body
component vibrations, control of industrial robots and machine vision are
performed. |
