SIDIS MB from Continental covers the vehicle communication systems of all well-known automobile manufacturers from Alfa Romeo to Volkswagen (data of 43 vehicle manufacturers, 818 vehicle types and more than 15,000 electronic control units). The diagnostics software SIDIS DSI supports 6 languages (from version 28.0.0 onwards, available February 2008). It provides general diagnostics functionality and contains essential features such as technical bulletins, enhanced electronic information, service and maintenance plans, electrical diagrams, information about distribution belts and air conditioning systems as well as customer and spare parts management. 

SIDIS DSI is an all-purpose diagnostics software supporting engine management systems (diesel and gasoline), comfort systems, instrumentation, ABS systems, airbag systems and many more. SIDIS MB provides users of vehicle diagnostics systems with excellent support in carrying out their day-to-day work. And thanks to regular diagnostics data updates and the hotline, workshops can continue in future to concentrate on their essential task - customer service. 

Key features of the diagnostics tools include their identifying control devices automatically; read and clear fault memory; read and record live data and measured values; activate components and reset service intervals. The highlights include 1.06GHz Merom processor, 1GB RAM, 12.1-inch TFT display, 4-programmable hardware keys, Bluetooth 2.0 and WLAN integrated, Windows XP platform and optional docking station with DVD Drive, USB and network interfaces. 

Starting in early 2008, the range of products available will also include the SIDIS PAD, a tablet PC specially developed for tough workshop conditions.
