Bosch Chassis Systems India inaugurates technical centre and ABS facility

Bosch Chassis Systems India has commissioned a world class Technical Centre at Chakan, near Pune. The Centre was inaugurated by Gerhard Steiger, President, Chassis Systems Brakes Division, Robert Bosch GmbH, Germany, and will provide total design, development and testing framework to Indian Automobile manufacturers. These include NVH, integration of the newest simulation models, competence in hydraulic braking systems, with friction material and close coordination with brake modulation like ABS and ESP.

The Centre will also extend its services to some overseas automobile companies who find the Centre cost effective for their low/medium volume requirements. The Technical Centre has been set up with an investment of Rs 37 crore and currently employs around 70 qualified engineers.

Bosch Chassis Systems India has also commissioned the ABS manufacturing facility at the same location. This makes Bosch the first manufacturer of ABS systems in India. Established in 1984, Bosch Chassis Systems India is a subsidiary of the Bosch Group in India with manufacturing facilities at Jalgaon and Chakan (near Pune).
