The Confederation of Indian Industry, in association with Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) and Government of Andhra Pradesh (Transport Department), is organising the First Auto Show South Ã¢â‚¬â€œ Hyderabad, which is scheduled from 13th to 16th May, 2010 at Hitex Exhibition Centre, Izzat Nagar, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. The event is supported by the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) and Federation of Automobile Associations of India (FADA). Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Dr K Rosaiah will inaugurate the First Auto Show South in Hyderabad on Friday, 14th May, 2010.The less-than-4-metre long Venture can comfortably accommodate eight passengers in three front facing rows and has ample luggage space. A glasshouse effect with plug-in windows for second row passengers contributes to the distinctive exterior design while the contemporary interiors sport a two-tone beige and black theme. Comfort and convenience of both driver and passengers have been adequately addressed with dual HVAC, power steering, power windows, reverse parking aid, keyless entry with engine immobilizer and rear wipers.A number of vehicle manufacturers Ã¢â‚¬â€œ Tata Motors, Toyota, General Motors, Fiat India, Skoda, Mahindra & Mahindra, Honda Cars, TVS Motors, Honda Motorcycles, Yamaha, etc., Ã¢â‚¬â€œ along with car audio and accessories manufacturers will be participating at this four day exhibition in Hyderabad. The participants will use this as an opportunity to strengthen brand image with stakeholders, networking for new dealers/customers, sharing best practices, and display/launch of new products for the southern region markets.While Toyota will hold a special preview of the much-awaited Toyota Etios Concept along with display of its global quality bestsellers, futuristic hybrids and a range of SUVs, Honda Motorcycles will launch a new bike at the Auto Show South. Concurrently with the exhibition, the following events are also planned during the four days: safety ride by Honda Motorcycles; 4x4 Track by Mahindra & Mahindra; Go Karting by JK Tyres; and painting competition for students by General Motors.This is the first initiative of organising Regional Auto Shows by the organisers of legendary biennial Auto Expo Ã¢â‚¬â€œ the complete automotive show Ã¢â‚¬â€œ in Delhi, and is expected to serve as a platform for networking and interaction with the stakeholders of the automotive industry at regional level. Followed by the Auto Show South Ã¢â‚¬â€œ Hyderabad, the organisers are planning to rotate the Regional Auto Shows across the country in a phased manner.
