Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd, India’s leading SUV manufacturer, today unveiled its new KUV100 NXT. The new model is packed with 40 new features and enhancements, coupled with a new and aggressive design. Priced at a starting price of Rs 4.39 lakhs (ex-showroom, Mumbai), the the KUV100 NXT will be available in five variants, namely, K2 & K2+, K4+, K6+ and K8 in both petrol and diesel trims. All of these variants will be available with five- and six-seater options.
“The KUV100 created a new category with an SUV in the price segment of Rs. 4.5 – Rs. 7.5 lakh. We have always been a listening organisation and in line with that, we have managed to successfully launch the KUV100 within 21 months. Launched in January 2016, the KUV100 NXT is now loaded with more hi-tech features such as a seven -inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, electronic temperature control panel, electrically foldable Outer Rear View Mirrors (ORVM) and parking sensors. To add to the overall experience, sporty black interiors, plush new fabric upholstery and innovative storage spaces like front & rear armrest with cupholders, cooled glove box, underfloor and under-seat storage and boot space of 243 litres make up the interiors.
The engine is an mFalcon G80 has a capacity of 1.2 litres and is an MPFI and dual VVT petrol engine that delivers 61kW (82bhp) power and 115Nm torque. The mFalcon D75, on the other hand is a 1.2 litre turbo-charged, diesel engine with CRDI technology that delivers 57.4kW (77bhp) power and 190Nm torque.
Safety- wise the car is equipped with ABS and dual airbags along with a reverse parking assist sensor, Intellipark. The car also has a driver information system with voice alerts and gear-shift alerts.
