After Silicon Valley and Tel Aviv, French automaker Renault has opened a third Innovation Lab, called "Le Square" in Paris, focusing on the future of mobility, informed the company in an official statement. Renault Open Innovation Lab – Le Square aims to define new ways of working and to explore the future of mobility by opening up the company's boundaries and encouraging cooperation around new kinds of business organisation with actors from the French ecosystem. "Renault has been making cars for over 100 years", says Pierrick Cornet, Alliance Global Director of Advanced Engineering. "But as our industry is changing very rapidly, we have to stay at the leading edge and continuously innovate by working on new technologies, connected cars and electric vehicles, defining the future of mobility so we can offer our customers the best service possible." Managed jointly by Renault's internal teams and external partners working towards a common goal, it will help to reinforce the innovation strategy of Renault and the Alliance, the carmaker said.
