A leading manufacturer of automotive wiring harnesses has applied for 10 acre land in Indore region to set up a unit with a proposed investment of Rs 50 crore. Motherson Sumi Systems has applied to Audhyogik Kendra Vikas Nigam (AKVN) Indore for land in the first week of April. This will be the company's second investment in the region. "We have received an investment proposal from Motherson. They are planning to set up a manufacturing unit in the region," said AKVN Managing Director Kumar Purushottam. This is the first company in the financial year 2017-2018 to be considered by the industry department for investments while a few are in the pipeline.
