Nissan has announced that the forthcoming 2018 Nissan LEAF will make its international debut on September 6. Though it is not confirmed yet, the Japanese automaker is considering to bring this new generation model of its 100 per cent electric car to India as well. Reportedly, Nissan is in discussion to introduce its five-door electric car in the country as a pilot launch, to observe the customers' response. The company is planning this small volume initiative after the Indian Government announced to electrify transportation in the country. The 2018 Nissan LEAF will be the first vehicle in the Japanese automaker’s global product line-up equipped with ProPILOT Park. The technology helps drivers park by automatically guiding the car into a parking spot. Sonars and cameras on the new Nissan LEAF guide the car into most of the kind of parking spots, handling accelerator, braking and steering input. Still, the driver needs to monitor the area around the vehicle after activating the system and apply the brakes if necessary. Ahead of the car's global unveiling, Nissan has released a teaser that gives a glimpse of the new LEAF's sharp LED daytime running lights and headlamp unit.
