All the above lamps are mostly supplied to OEMs in India as well as abroad.
What are the special features of your lights and their applications?
We are the first one to develop LED head lamp in India for two wheelers for one of our esteemed customers, which is meeting Indian AIS Standard as well as ECE norms. Besides, we are also supplying many LED based tail lamp, winker lamp, DRL, bi function LED projector lamps etc, to all our customers.
We are adopting the latest design and modern technique with strong engineering base through qualified and experienced expert engineers from our Italian JV company and design office from Japan. As a result, the products are superior in all respects which meet all Indian and international regulations. We provide the best products to our customers through cost-effective solution, of course, with the best quality level.
What is your take on LED lights in automotive? Are they energy saving? What are their advantages?
We were the first one of the first few to adopt LED technology in the automotive segment in India, almost a decade ago. In fact, we were the first one to develop prototype LED head lamp in Asia five years ago and in this connection, we have been bestowed with many awards. Apart from LED head lamp, tail lamp, winker lamp, bi-function projector lamps, we have developed many other lamps with LED solution. There are innumerable advantages in LED lights to name a few they are energy saving besides they are also ecofriendly, long life and give uniform and appropriate light spread with aesthetically very good design. For example, in traditional head lamps 35 W bulb is used, whereas in LED head lamp for 2 wheelers only 8 W LED is used.
What are the electronic controls and features in your product range?
We have some products available with levelling device to adjust the focus of the light from head lamp. Regarding the other features like auto dimming or anti glares rear light they are in developmental stage.
What is your take on the latest trend of lighting of blind spots?
We are already working on adaptive front lighting system (AFS) for car, where the lamp beams moves with differing characteristics for automatic adaption to varying conditions with the help of a system control. In this way, blind spots are automatically illuminated.
In the case of two-wheelers such system is not required because in most of the two-wheelers, the head lamp is mounted at the front suspension fork (handle bar) only.
What is your strength in R&D? Do you design lights or you manufacture to print?
We have state-of-the-art R&D Centre, located in our Rai, Sonepat unit, which is recognised by Ministry of Science & Technology (DSIR), Government of India. We also have our JV company for design in Italy besides design office in Japan. More than 120 people are working on company’s R&D activities. We are lighting specialist with more than four decades of experience with unmatchable credentials. We take of the project in the conceptual stage and hence not only take up the project from design stage but also offer complete solution including development of tooling, proto sample, testing etc. We are the first Indian automotive Lab accredited by N.A.B.L for general lighting testing.
