The move came a day post PM Narendra Modi said that Kevadia, where the Statue of Unity is located, will become India’s first EV city. The area will transform into an EV-only zone in a phased manner.

The framework has been released with an objective to promote formal and well-organised recycling ecosystem, quite similar to the Scrappage Policy.
