News May 26, 2018 Eastman Auto launches e-rickshaw awareness campaign Eastman Auto and Power Limited (EAPL), a company in energy storage and solar solutions, has launched e-rickshaw awareness campaign to sensitise people about the benefits of e-rickshaw overall and what kinds of batteries are best suited for this vehicle. The company has chosen West Bengal as the epicenter of the initiative as the state already has a burgeoning E-rickshaw population. The objective of the campaign is to create awareness about the usage of e-rickshaw batteries and apprise the stakeholders (E-Rickshaw owners and trade) of the factors that affect the performance of these batteries. Beginning from Berhampur, the campaign has embraced cities such as Katwa, Bardhaaman, Howrah, Barasat, Midnapur, Siliguri, Cooch Behar and Nadia in West Bengal.

News Mar 28, 2018 Delivery forms part of a drive to support Costa Rica's emergence as a world leading low-carbon economy Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) has announced a fleet of MMC's EV and PHEV vehicles has been delivered from Japanese Government to the Costa Rican Government. The delivery will involve the transfer of 20 units of the Outlander PHEV, the world's best-selling plug-in hybrid SUV together with an additional 29 units of the i-MiEV, the first mass produced EV vehicle. The initiative forms part of the Overseas Development Agreement between the Japanese and Costa Rican Governments, through which Japan has committed to provide a range of next generation vehicles to the Central American nation.
