Auto industry gears up for Auto Expo 2020- Components

The auto components industry is all set for the 15th edition of the India’s biggest automobile component exhibition—The Auto Expo 2020- Components. It will be held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi between February 6 and 9, 2020.
The Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA), the apex body of the Indian auto component industry,Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers today announced the 15th edition of Auto Expo 2020 Components, themed ‘Technovation - Discover Innovations for Future’.
The display will comprise of the latest technology & innovations in the spheres of BSVI & emissions, safety, e-mobility, start-ups, among others.
The exhibition spans over 56,000 sq m of Pragati Maidan, showcasing a collection of exclusive components and technology from over 1,500 participants. Thus, Auto Expo is most diverse platform that helps to bring together ideas, innovation and technology from all over the globe. Several international pavilions including those from Germany, Canada, China, Turkey, South Korea, UK, and Japan, will have on display an array of cutting edge component technologies.
There will be 2500 buyers and sourcing delegates from 52 countries. Overseas delegations from around 20 countries are expected, while 100,000 business visitors will be present to explore the market as well as investment opportunities, who have already confirmed their participation.
Informing about this year’s theme, Deepak Jain, President, ACMA said, “This year’s theme, ‘Technovation: Discover Innovations for Future’ has been adopted to steer the industry forward, instil a positive sentiment, showcase the best technological prowesswhile providing more opportunities for growth. Beside showcasing the traditional components, the expo will give companies an opportunity to highlight their preparedness for future mobility. We are therefore, looking forward to this edition which will be monumental in shaping the future trajectory of the industry by focussing on our collective strength &capabilities.”
Elaborating further on the response and the significance of the Auto Expo 2020, Vinnie Mehta, Director General, ACMA said “We all are excited at the prospects of the Auto Expo 2020-Components as it brings the spotlight on advanced technologies in the auto component space. Despite the fact that the industry is facing challenges due to a prolonged slowdown, we are glad that we have25 per cent more exhibitors than the previous edition. It clearly reflects the resilience and determination of the auto components industry. Our members recognise the importance of this platform as it holds the key to future opportunities and industry’s brand equity.”
Based on the theme of the show, ‘Technovation - Discover Innovations for Future’, three pavilions on Start-ups, EV Compoents and Innovations will feature 20 companies who redefined automotive space.
The Exhibition is accredited by the Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs d’Automobiles (OICA), an international trade association whose members represent the global auto industry. The pavilions will feature conferences and allied events and exciting new product launches making the show a true convergence of world class technologies and engineering brilliance.
The expo is slated to be one of the biggest shows of the year and will have several value-added conferences &discussions on pertinent subjects. While leadership from most OEMs have confirmed to visit the event, ACMA will also host a special forum which will bring together IPOs of various international OEMs, facilitating exports and forging international relationships.
