Torsus, a Czech Republic-based manufacturer of the world’s toughest off-road buses, has expressed interest in entering the Indian market and is on the lookout for a suitable partner to kick-start the journey. The company is scouting for a reliable distributor who is well-known and understands the heavy or heavy-duty industries.
Torsus is also keen on setting up a manufacturing base in India and give localisation a go. They feel this would help provide cost benefits and open doors for Asian, African, Middle Eastern and American markets.
Though the Indian commercial vehicle industry, especially the passenger bus segment, is facing a tough time due to the COVID-19 pandemic and social distancing, the vehicle manufacturer sees India as a prospective centre for its business and an ideal fit for its buses.
Vakhtang Dzhukashvili, Co-Founder and CEO, Torsus, feels India has huge potential and all the right industries where Torsus vehicles can be used effectively.
