EVRE, an EV charging infrastructure company, announced its partnership with MoEVing, a tech-enabled electric fleet start-up for urban mobility.
EVRE will set up 1,000 EV charging stations across India within the next six months, which will be utilised by MoEVing and other EV fleet owners. The long-term partnership will see an innovative business model which will enable cross-utilisation of the charging stations. In Bengaluru, MoEVing and EVRE are parallelly using each other’s charging stations.
EVRE will conceptualise the design, manufacture, establish, operate and maintain the EV charging infrastructure. It will also own and operate the technology for all the existing and upcoming chargers. MoEVing will help EVRE in the demand assessment and set up charging stations for higher utilisation.
There will be a phase-wise implementation where EVRE will set up 200 charging stations each in Bengaluru and Hyderabad. The remaining 600 stations will come up in Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi NCR, Chandigarh, Pune and Mumbai. The infrastructure will support MoEVing’s expanding commercial EV fleet across urban communities.
Vikash Mishra, Founder and CEO, MoEVing, and Krishna K Jasti, Co-Founder and CEO, EVRE, expressed that the one-of-its-kind partnership will establish an ideal EV charging ecosystem that will help bring down the CO2 emissions by 5.4 tonnes and save 2.4 million litres of fossil fuel annually.
