In a bid to support the auto sector and to extend state government support to auto component manufacturers, Goutham Reddy, Minister for Industries & Commerce and Information Technology Government of Andhra Pradesh, invited and committed support from the state government to open units in the state. Considering the current conditions, the auto sector had a moment of rejoice.
On the second day of the Auto Expo 2020- Components, Reddy was present and inaugurated the Andhra Pradesh Pavilion.
During his address, Reddy, said, “I would want to congratulate ACMA, CII and SIAM for organizing such an extravagant show of international repute. The Government of Andhra Pradesh, would like to extend the support to ACMA, CII and SIAM in the years to come. We also invite component industry to put more ancillary units and become a partner in the development of the state. We would extend all support to develop a vibrant automotive value chain ecosystem in the State.”
The Government of Andhra Pradesh firmly stands to support the automobile, auto components & electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem in the state through pro-active administration, stable policy and capable human resource.
Organised jointly by Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), the Auto expo 2020- Components witnessed the presence of Arjun Ram Meghwal, Union Minister of State, Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises and Parliamentary Affairs; Arun Goel, Secretary, Department of Heavy Industries, Ministry of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises and other important delegates.
Goel expressed, “It is a pleasure to be here and witness the success of this platform, jointly organised by ACMA, SIAM and CII. The technological leap achieved by the auto industry will be critical to usher in the next phase of growth. It is imperative to have industry & academia partnership to bring more innovation and cutting-edge technology for the Indian industries.”
Deepak Jain, President, ACMA, shared, “The auto component industry has shown strong resilience amidst the prevailing challenges. This expo’s theme, ‘Technovation - Discover Innovations for Future’ reflect our determination to steer the industry forward with greater value-addition, in still a positive sentiment and showcase the technological prowess, while providing more opportunities for growth.”
The show, scheduled between 6 and 9 February, 2020 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi, displayed a wide range of products across segments.
Over 1,500 companies exhibited their latest products & solutions, of which 200 were international exhibitors from over 20 countries. Around 1,00,000 plus people visited the four-day gala. There were pavilions dedicated for countries like Japan, South Korea, UK, Germany, Turkey and Canada at the expo.
