New Delhi, January 19, 2015: Suzuki Gixxer has won the prestigious and much coveted 'Bike of the Year' title at Bloomberg TV - Autocar Awards 2015. Judged by the likes of India's foremost automotive enthusiasts - Narain Karthikeyan, Hormazd Sorabjee, Renuka Kirpalani and Shapur Kotwal amongst others - the 155cc premium challenger from Suzuki beat stiff competition from foreign and domestic automobile heavyweights to bag the prestigious prize.
The Gixxer is drawn from the lineage of Suzuki's globally successful GSX-R 1000 series. The motorcycle was introduced to the Indian market in September last year. The 'Street Sport' Gixxer is equipped with Suzuki's breakthrough SEP technology to deliver a perfect balance of power and fuel efficiency.

Since 2002, the Bloomberg TV Autocar India Awards have recognized excellence in automobiles and are eagerly awaited by automobile manufacturers and buyers alike. This year, the awards were presented in 20 categories with the best of the best winning the Bike of the Year and Car of the Year prizes.
