Sandvik Coromant, a Swedish company that supplies cutting tools and services to the metal cutting industry, has opened a new global centre in Pune for productivity, application, machining and research in manufacturing. This facility – one of only six such centres across the Sandvik Coromant portfolio present– is the result of an investment worth SEK 35 million (about Rs 27 crores) .The other centres are Langfang (China), Schaumburg (USA), Queretaro (Mexico), Fair Lawn (USA) and Sandviken (Sweden). The company has also appointed Javier Guerra as the new President of Sandvik Coromant India, who will be responsible for continuing to develop the company as the leading supplier of metal cutting tools, tooling solutions, and know-how to the manufacturing industry.
