Chinese tech giant, has invested in Motorcomm, a core communications chipmaker
for automobiles. It was done through the Hubei Xiaomi Yangtze River Industrial
Fund. The size and other details of the deal were not disclosed.

related to the automotive industry. It spent $77.4 million to buy 100% of
Deepmotion’s shares, a start-up specialising in autonomous driving technologies
and driver assistance software.
Huawei will invest $1 billion in smart car
technologies this year. It will invest in building components for smart
vehicles, including software platforms for self-driving cars.
